 What are the benefits of sponsoring an Operation Harvest Field Worker?
The Field Worker you sponsor through Operation Harvest receives benefits and opportunities, which he uses to make a significant impact in the lives of many people in his community and beyond.
A Sponsored Field Worker:
DEVELOPS A VITAL RELATIONSHIP WITH A SPONSOR
As an Operation Harvest sponsor, you establish a real connection with the field worker you support. Your field worker receives your care through your monthly financial gifts, your prayers and letters knowing someone is partnering with him in this harvest field. Your field worker and his family know your name and pray for you. Your field worker will write letters telling what is happening with the ministry and his family.
LEVERAGES YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS
The field worker and family’s personal and ministry financial needs are met so he can serve full-time working in the field.
RECEIVES LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO BE A PRODUCTIVE FIELD WORKER
Your Operation Harvest sponsorship provides the field worker with training from the national leadership. He will learn how to teach pastors. He will also be equipped to help pastors and church members start and grow an evangelism and discipleship ministry in their churches.
Your field worker trains pastors at a centrally located five-day event. Since follow-up is the primary task of the field worker, he will travel to each pastor’s church to help him and the congregation get started. After the pastor and his church members have led others to a personal relationship with Christ and have begun discipleship training, the field worker will return as often as needed.
RECEIVES ENCOURAGEMENT BY NEW GROWTH OF CHURCHES AND HEALTHY CHANGES IN THE COMMUNITIES
The field worker will hear stories of the new lives people are experiencing after becoming Christians as well as the hope, joy, and peace people are receiving.
The field worker will talk with pastors who are now able to tell the positive impact the communities are experiencing.
The field worker will hear gratitude from pastors, congregations, and new Christians saying, “Thank you for caring about us!”
RECEIVES FIRST HAND THE JOY OF SEEING PEOPLE BECOME CHRISTIANS
The field worker is actively sharing his personal faith in Christ, which is further magnified through active participation in a local church evangelism and discipleship ministry.
What will I receive with my sponsorship?
With your completed sponsorship, you will receive a Field Worker Sponsorship Packet by mail in approximately 15 days. This packet includes a Field Worker Profile with family photo and a letter writing form.
How important is prayer in Operation Harvest sponsorship?
Your prayers for the health, safety and success of your field worker and family are critical. Sponsored field workers are greatly encouraged to hear that their Operation Harvest sponsors are praying for them. The field worker you sponsor will be praying for you too.
How can I communicate with my sponsored Field Worker?
Many sponsors want to correspond with their field worker, and we encourage that. In fact, once you become a sponsor of a field worker, we will send you a confirmation letter that includes materials designed to help you write your first letter to your field worker. We will mail your letter to the field worker’s national office. One of the staff will translate your letter, if necessary, and deliver the letter to your field worker.
How often should I write my sponsored Field Worker?
You can write to your field worker as often as you like. Whether you write once or several times, your sponsored field worker will know that you care. However, keep in mind because of translation time or remote locations, it may take up to two months for your Field Worker to receive your letter.
Will the Field Worker I sponsor write to me?
Yes. You should receive a letter about three times a year.
May I send a special gift to the Operation Harvest Field Worker I support?
Yes. Operation Harvest encourages sponsors to give an additional monetary Christmas gift ($25.00 annual gift recommended). In your Field Worker's nation, Operation Harvest's national leadership will use the money to buy special gifts to be given to your Field Worker and family at Christmas. Check the optional Christmas Gift Fund box on your Operation Harvest Field Worker Sponsorship Form. If you forgot to check that box initially, please call our toll free number 888-567-3543 and we will update your sponsorship profile.
In addition to Field Worker Sponsorship, Operation Harvest funds several ongoing ministry projects that help cultivate the ministry efforts in each country. These projects provide scholarships, outreach tools, materials, and equipment necessary to implement, maintain, and grow the Evangelism Explosion ministry in numerous third world areas. Will I be the only person sponsoring the Field Worker I support?
Typically, there are multiple sponsors for each field worker since their monthly salary and work expenses are greater than one Operation Harvest sponsorship of $35 per month. The number of sponsors is set by our Board of Directors, established for each nation according to need.
How long will my sponsorship last?
The field workers believe God has called them into this ministry. And for that reason, a field worker may feel "his calling" for many years. Operation Harvest sponsorship offers you the opportunity to sponsor a field worker during their entire time as a field worker or for any other period of time at your option.
If I must discontinue my sponsorship, what happens to my Field Worker?
We hope you will continue to sponsor your field worker for the duration of their time with Operation Harvest. We recognize that people’s circumstances change. If this happens, please notify our office so we can begin to look for a new sponsor and continue the field worker’s support without interruption.
How is Operation Harvest related to EE International?
Operation Harvest is a ministry of EE International. Operation Harvest was developed to connect caring sponsors with field workers committed to assisting pastors in starting a vibrant EE ministry of evangelism and discipleship training in their local churches.

How do EE and Operation Harvest ensure that my money benefits the Field Worker I sponsor?
Your support provides for the field worker’s livelihood and the supporting structure for assistance, management, reporting and training which enables him to work full-time.
EE is a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). EE is also a 501(c)(3), charitable organization, under the IRS code of the United States of America and is audited annually by an independent accounting firm. EE will insure that funds are properly received, tracked and managed.
