Joseph Kamau and Ann, his wife of seven years, live in the village of Uthiru-Kabete along with their children Gad and Jona. The Kamau’s home is approximately 10 kilometers from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Both Joseph and Ann are from the Kikuyu people group. In addition to their native Kikuyu tongue, Swahili and English, the official languages of Kenya are spoken in their home. Joseph and his family attend Christ Children’s Episcopal Church, where he serves on the Church Council. Joseph loves teaching and preaching and enjoys watching wildlife movies and soccer.

Ann is employed as an Administrative Secretary. While being a working wife and mother of two does not allow for much spare time, Ann does love to read and watch movies when time allows. God has gifted her in the area of counseling and working with computers.

Gad, the oldest child, is fours years old and the baby, Jona, is 10 months old. As is customary among the Kikuyu people, the Kamau’s have a family member living with them. Nancy is 22 years old and helps Ann with the children and household chores. Like Ann, Nancy loves to watch movies in her spare time.
